Do you know what the term ‘Green Hospitality’ means?
The term “green hospitality” refers to hospitality practices that take into account environmental protection and sustainability. By employing sustainable practices and reducing our footprint on the environment, we contribute to maintaining a more sustainable ecosystem.
How could the tourism industry be reshaped using green and sustainable practices? What skills should tourism professionals develop to keep up with the new needs of both their clients and modern society?
The new European project of OECON GROUP in the field of sustainability, “GreenHost – Vocational Excellence, Policy, and Enterprise United for Hospitality Management Skills Adapted on Environmental Footprint Methods,” which will have a total duration of 4 years, with the participation of 19 partners from 7 countries, aims to provide the tools for addressing these concerns.
Our aim with GreenHost is to establish centers of excellence that will integrate green and digital practices into a new tourism management curriculum. This will ensure that future industry professionals are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to create a more sustainable hospitality model.
